Steve Williams - B.A. (University of Kansas), USPTA P1, Elite Professional
Owner of Williams Tennis School, Steve is also the Head Pro and Junior Tennis Coordinator at the Longmont Athletic Club located in Longmont, CO, and is the Director of Tennis at The Fox Hill Club, also located in Longmont. Steve was the Head Coach for the boys tennis team at Loveland High School from 2011 through 2014
In addition to being certified as a USPTA Pro (elite professional), Steve is also certified as a High Performance Coach by the USTA and USPTA. In 2012, Steve was chosen by the USTA Intermountain to coach the Intersectionals boys and girls 16's team in Shreveport, LA. From 2008-2009 Steve coached the men's team at the University of Northern Colorado, the only public Division 1 Men's Tennis program in the state. In the summer of 2012, Steve started as the Director of Adidas Tennis Camps out of Colorado State University.
For 2016 and 2017, Steve was selected by USTA Colorado as a player development coach. Steve will be coaching the "Early Development Camps" and "Team Colorado" in cooperation with USTA Colorado coaches and other tennis pros, and will be actively involved with player development of some of the top kids in the state.
Steve played #1 singles for his high school and competed in college on a tennis scholarship. Steve has been a top-10 player in Colorado singles at the championship level and finished 2013 ranked #2 in open doubles in Colorado. Steve finished 2016 ranked #1 in Colorado in Men's 35 doubles with his partner (Miikka Keronen).
Eric Carlson - USPTA Professional Tennis Instructor
Eric loves the game of tennis and really enjoys helping others achieve their personal tennis goals. He began teaching tennis several years ago at various tennis camps in Colorado Springs, where he grew up. Eric placed 2nd at the state level in doubles his sophomore year and played varsity #1 singles his senior year. Upon graduation he assisted with his former high school team. He attended the John Newcombe Tennis Academy for 3 months before making the CU Club Tennis Team. Eric has a current ranking of #11 at the Colorado singles championship level. He received his USPTA certification in 2009.
In addition to coaching for the Williams Tennis School, Eric also teaches junior tennis at the Longmont Athletic Club.
Eric loves playing basketball and golf in addition to tennis. He is passionate about most sports and loves to debate with people.
Wes Ballentine - USPTA Professional Tennis Instructor
Wes attended New Canaan High School in Connecticut before earning a BA in Economics and Communication from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2011.
Tennis became one of Wes’s passions at a young age. He has enjoyed competing in junior tournaments, high school tennis, and club tennis at the University of Colorado. Wes has been teaching seasonally since 2005 and has run the tennis program at Camp Tecumseh in New Hampshire for five summers. He has been a certified USPTA instructor (P-2) since 2013.
Wes's teaching priority is to provide a contagious love for playing tennis. Time on a tennis court should be fun, active, and rewarding through competition. Wes enjoys sharing athletic knowledge and the opportunities for character growth that are available through tennis and other athletics.
Wes is a sports enthusiast and hopes to ski, golf, and play basketball while away from the tennis courts.
